Happy Birthday Sterling!

Sterling started off the morning waking up in his big boy bed for the first time.  We weren't really planning on moving him yet.  We just wanted to get everything ready for the move.  But I think after all of the talk about sleeping in it and seeing us moving it and all of his toys into that room, he decided he was ready.  Yesterday afternoon Sterling begged me to let him sleep in his big boy bed.  I didn't even have sheets for it, so we tucked in larger sheets and found a blanket and he took his first nap and spent his first night in his bed.  He did amazingly well, he even waited for me to come and get him before getting up.  We don't get him out of bed until 8 whether he is awake or not, and I really didn't want to break that habit.  Hopefully he will keep that up. 

I asked him what he wanted to do and he said "Watch the racecar movie"  We know in our house that means Disney's Cars, so I put the DVD in our room and we all snuggled in our bed.  I made one of Sterling's favorite breakfasts, blueberry muffins.

 Then he opened his new wooden train set, and he and Alex spent the morning putting it together and rolling the trains around the tracks.  He has played with this train set ALL DAY!  We also had to run an errand at Lowe's so we stopped by TJ Maxx and picked up the sheets I had picked out for his bed.  He loves them, and kept telling me he wanted to take out his "sheeps."  So we washed them immediately and they were dry just in time for his nap.

 Then I slaved all night making Sterling his favorite meal peanut butter and jelly.
