I guess it is time to update everyone with Christmas pictures since tomorrow we will be celebrating two years of Sterling. I apologize for being so slow with the pictures but I think I have been home a total of three or four days since the Monday before Christmas. We have been living on the go. Thankfully both sets of grandparents live in the same town (you would think that would make it easier!) I still have a several bags that need to be unpacked, couple of loads of laundry to do, and house that looks like it has been hit by an earthquake! Not to mention my grandmother is in town (Sylacauga) from Texas and we are in the middle of moving Sterling to his new "Big Boy" room (which he is currently napping in) and I am trying to get ready for a birthday party! Not much on my to do list!!
Sterling spent the weekend before Christmas in Sylacauga to allow Alex and I to celebrate our anniversary. We started the day by traveling to Birmingham for a ultrasound. I got a great report from the doctor and after we saw a very early movie and had lunch at my new favorite Mexican spot in Alabama. You see, being a Texas girl I am very partial to Tex-Mex, and well, you just can't find that here. But if you are ever at the Summit give Chuy's a try, it will not dissapoint.
Anyway, we had the weekend to get some projects done. I finished wrapping presents. We repainted the hallway, because flat paint and dark colors don't mix. Even just touching the walls creates marks. So after less than two years we already needed to start over. Hopefully the Satin finish will hold up better.
On Monday I joined Sterling in Sylacauga to let Alex have some uninterrupted time to work on his online seminary class. He had come down with the flu so between myself and his grandmothers we nursed him back to health by Christmas.
Sterling had a blast opening presents this year and even more fun playing with all of the fun toys!
I got a new flash for Christmas so these pictures are all an experiment as I am still learning how to use it.
He has loved playing with all of his big boy toys too. Having a birthday so close to Christmas at this age means he grows out of his toys quickly. I was noticing that most of his toys would be considered "baby toys."
He has been playing non-stop!
