So, we are keeping one another accountable. We are both running and walking, working up to just running three times a week. While at the lake we picked out running shoes, I don't think that I have purchased tennis shoes since high school, and I know I have never had as comfortable as these.
You see both of us have very flat feet. My feet are so flat that I didn't run until I was three and I didn't jump until even later than that. My mother even says that my ankles used to cave in when I would walk. Let me just tell you, it is really hard to find comfortable shoes if you are flat footed, and it is even harder to enjoy running in said shoes! Why do all manufacturers think that people with no arches would enjoy wearing shoes with extremely high ones?
Anyway, these shoes are almost like miracle shoes. They provide just the right support, and when I am done, nothing hurts, not my knees or my feet!
Sterling and I stayed at home all last week and learned the big boy art of going potty! Now I know some of you right now are thinking I am crazy for attempting this at such an early age. Believe me I thought I was crazy at times to! But I the more I researched how to potty train the more I found out that many think that training early is better and I really thought Sterling could do it.
We are now through the tough part and to the much easier maintenance phase. And on this end of it I am glad we stuck it through. There were times I wanted to cry or scream or run away (which I did several times, see above) but his successes made it all worth it. I promised I would not go into embarrassing details here for all to see, so I'm not going to go into detail about what we did or how we did it. If you are curious you will have to ask.
I am so proud of our new "big kid" and he is so proud too!
