That was Sterling's comment after anything birthday related was mentioned. We had his family party right after his real birthday but we finally had Sterling's birthday party with his friends. I postponed his party until spring since it is usually freeeezzzzing around his birthday. Last year his party kicked off the Snowstorm of 2011, our family barely made it home in time and my mom and Jameson really almost got stuck in the snow. The year before it was so cold we kept the leftover drinks from his party in the garage in a cooler and the ice stayed frozen and the drinks stayed cold for a month.
So, I decided March or April would work out better. His birthday came and went and it was a beautiful sunny day. However, the day I chose April 22, was so cold. We had it at the park and the wind almost blew the kids' cupcakes away! But they had so much fun. I'm glad we had Sterling's jacket in the car.
Lightning McQueen had to stay in the box until the last minute. I think there was actually a point that the wind actually moved the box a bit.
"Cheese, now can I go play again!"
Sweet girlfriends! Ann Elizabeth is obsessed with chairs, especially pint-sized ones. She goes around the room looking for what she can back up to and sit on. Mom got these cute chairs for AE and S and she loves sitting in them when we play outside.
Also, even thought it was so cold out Ann Elizabeth has no close-toed shoes with a hard sole. As she is walking now the soft-soled ones won't work outside, and as her foot is still a size 3 (barely) most shoes in her size are crib shoes. Any suggestions for shoes for babies with tiny feet? We had the opposite problem with Sterling! Crazy!
Happy Birthday Boy! He is getting so big!
Trying to blow the candles out as we try to make them stay lit. It didn't really work, but he thought he did it anyway.
KerKer came to take KiKi home on his way in from drill in South Carolina. He came in time to play for a while after the kids left. Ann Elizabeth enjoyed swinging with him and loves snuggling these days.
