We traveled to the beach for a family friend's wedding in Seaside. Sterling was the ring bearer and had lots of fun getting to stay in the condo. He said he wanted to live there forever. (Everything is forever these days.)
It was a beautiful wedding and Sterling got a Thomas the train engine for being in the wedding, of which he said it was the "best thing he never had."

Camping
Sterling and Alex went camping in the back yard. We grilled hamburgers and roasted marshmallows then the boys headed out to weather the elements in the tent. Sterling said it was the "best day ever!" and after about 24 hours he was ready to do it again. I was proud of him he never complained of the cold and Alex said he went right to sleep.
October
Ann Elizabeth loves sidewalk chalk just like Sterling did at this age
Ann Elizabeth didn't like being sat on the hay, but loved the tire swing.
Picking out a pumpkin for Ann Elizabeth.
We tried to get a family picture. This is usually the face Sterling gives in a picture. We have recently resorted to letting him say potty words which he isn't allowed to say otherwise unless he is in the bathroom. Getting to say, "Poop, tee tee head" brings a smile to any three-year-old boy's face.
Climbing up the slide of course.
And of course Halloween. The kids were Spiderman and Spidergirl, I figured Ann Elizabeth will start having an opinion on what she is soon so they might as well get to be cute matching together while they can. This is as much as Sterling wanted to pose, but Ann Elizabeth loves it so we both were able to get in a picture with her.
September
For the next few posts I'm going to try to give updates from the fall. I've been a slacker and I have lots of pictures to share. This fall has been so busy and with a toddler and a preschooler there hasn't been much down time. So here are a few from September
We love bubbles. Actually Ann Elizabeth is looking at this picture right now saying "babbu" (bubble) and blowing.
We also played soccer for the first time. The kids were so cute and Sterling had a few friends playing. It was a very interesting season. Sterling certainly learned a lot about playing sports and being on a team. There were certainly tears (not just by him). Most of the games were early and hot and they were all tired by half time. An hour is too long for 3 and 4-year-olds. But Sterling loved practice with all of the drills and games, and loved getting to go pick out his cleats and all the other soccer gear at the beginning of the season.
Ann Elizabeth wanted to play and was a bit jealous.
