The Lord Will Provide

We got a huge packet via email yesterday from our adoption agency.  We were told to become familiar with a portion of the info because we will be getting a call in the next few days and they may ask us questions about it.  (??)  I don't really know what that means.

Anyway, I was looking at the fee schedule and I realized that we had a big chuck of change due upon approval of our application.  Which I'm assuming means we owe them some $$ in the next few days or weeks!  I had a bit of panic set in because I guess I missed that before when I was reading.  Plus we just paid for a brand new heating unit, great timing right?!

The total we owe is going to be $2,916.66.  After my initial panic I remembered two words, tax return!!  Thankfully I had everything ready to send, all I had to do was the final clicking send on Turbo Tax.  When I looked at the total we will owe I had relief and thought that is close to what we are getting back.  Thank you God!!

I went on Turbo Tax's website to complete our tax return and looked at the total, Federal: 2,700 State: 216.  If you can do quick math that is a total of $2,916.  Um, did you catch that $2,916!!!  The exact amount we will owe!  I yelled at Alex to come look, he was stunned as well.  Then I said, "Well, you have to take out whatever they are going to charge us for doing our taxes.  (Which I've decided, I think I am comfortable enough to try to do my own the old fashioned way next year, it gets more expensive every year, we will see.)  When I got to the end they were charging us $66 and some cents to file both forms.  Then I remembered the check we got back because something changed and we were charged too much for Social Security, or something, I can't remember how much we got back but I know the check was in the $60's so actually we don't have to take anything out of that amount!

That being said, it is time for fundraising.
