Baby Picture

We went in for an ultrasound this morning.  The baby's heartbeat is 164 bpm and everything looks great.  I went in for an unexpected visit caused by some bleeding that started yesterday.  Everything is completely fine now and the bleeding has stopped, but of course it was a scary 20 hours.  I called the doctor immediately, but being that it was Labor Day I had to talk to the on-call nurse, who was wonderful!  She reassured me that everything was okay, and that as long as I had no pain there was no need to be alarmed.  I never had a twinge of pain, but of course a mother is going to worry! 

We appreciate the prayers of our family and dear friends who prayed us through this time.  The Lord is so good, and at times like this you have to just thank Him for being in control even when you cannot be!  (I always kid myself into thinking that I am.)

The best part of all of this was the doctor of course wanted to do an ultrasound to see what was going on.  She is pretty sure of what happened and instead of going into all of the long details, just know that it should not be a reoccurring thing. 

Not only did it set my heart and mind at ease, but we got to have a glimpse of the baby and this time it was big enough to be able see more than just a fuzzy blob.

Thank you Lord for keeping our littlest one so safe in the palm of Your hand!
