We Are the Champions Again
Getting ready for the big game. Sterling got to stay up to watch the whole National Championship. We made it a big deal for him and he loved it! I even let him go shopping, just he and me, to help me pick out the food for the game. Being the day after his birthday the ice cream he had picked out for his day was certainly on the menu.
Sterling has really grown up a lot in the last few weeks. We of course still have some melt downs on occasion, but they are so much less, it's amazing. It's like four was the magic pill for him. Poor thing, the oldests really are the experiment children, but being the oldest myself, I try to remind him that we don't expect perfection from him, and while he has more responsibility he also gets more privilege. I know it is hard for him to see that we have a different reaction when Ann Elizabeth whines (although that is becoming less the case as her communication skills are really improving). He even from time to time will say he wants to be little agian, but I do remind him of all of the big things he gets to do. One of his favorite things is after Bible time we put Ann Elizabeth to bed and read a chapter from a chapter book. Right now we are reading the first installment of The Chronicles of Narnia.
