Christmas

Sterling got a bike and was so excited!  He is like me in that he wants to excel in everything he does and not have to put forth the effort of practice.  The bike, even though it has training wheels, is definitely building character qualities such as perseverance in our son.  We went with a mid-sized kids bike (I had no idea there were all of these sizes) instead of the smaller one so it would last longer.  He certainly couldn't be any smaller and fit on it, so as we keep telling him, to pedal up the hill of our driveway, he is going to have to practice and build some muscles.

I saw these floor poufs on pinterest and decided to try them.  The tutorial was great and they were pretty easy. I bought a yard and a half of fabric and made them a little bigger.  I also put a zipper in the seem, which I have already had to use to put them in the wash.  These are cheap and easy to make, and my kids use them every day!  They cart them all over the house.  They match their rooms, but they usually spend most of their time in the living room.

Ann Elizabeth loved hanging out with the big girls and they are always so sweet to let her tag along.
Trying to get eight kids to look at the camera.  HA!

Tori begins the now annual treasure hunt.  This year the theme was superheros and princesses.

And she drew a different symbol/princess on each gift.

I love how they can get so excited over something as small as a toothbrush.
