Of course many of you know that this time three years ago as my classmates were walking across the stage I was putting on a wedding dress. Much to my father's dismay the month of December proves to be a hard month in which to schedule a wedding so the only day we could get married was also my college graduation day. Sorry Dad.
Alex chose to go to the beach instead of going to his undergraduate commencement. Which, come to think of it was when we announced to our families that we were going to have Sterling. I never thought about it but apparently we like to upstage our graduations. (Hillary, my sister, will insert here that we upstaged her high school graduation by getting engaged, but just so you know that was almost two whole months before.)
Smiling at Sterling waving to him. Well Sterling couldn't see him but we were telling him to wave to Daddy.
Moving his tassel.
Shaking Dr. Witt's hand. And yes he was in New York later that day for the Heisman ceremony. I think he apparated! YEA Mark Ingram!!
BTW we got to see Javier Arenas graduate, too.
Future Alabama grad, but for now it's time for a nap!
And thanks Hillary for your encouraging and precious post about Alex.

your sister Hillary would like to insert here that people were still hyped up on engagement so it did. also would like to insert here that you had a child just a few days before my 21st bday and went into labor with your first girl on my wedding day...it was in my flash forward. ;)
Congratulations, Alex! It was so great seeing you guys. Thanks for stopping in to visit during your busy weekend. Wish we could have had longer! Soon, I hope! Love to you all!
