Sword Fights

My mom always told me that eventually little boys would turn everything into weapons.  She said she never let my brother have guns and swords until he started turning carrots and sticks and just about anything into them.  I think Sterling has hit that stage.  I don't even think he knew the word sword, but his golf clubs have now become swinging swords.  I'm sure playing things like cowboys, knights, and superheros is just around the corner.  Here are some pictures from the other day.  Note that Sterling got to fight with two swords while Mommy only got one.

I like how these show the action

Yea for little boys! Their love for action and adventure will probably give us a lot of stress, but it's also so much fun to watch.

Sterling is so adorable!! I LOVE being around him!! I think he just gets cuter every day! I actually would love to see him and Ellie play together...it would be so fun to watch! I want you to bring him to swim one day soon. I think Kati, Dio (other ring bearer), Grandma Gee, Melanie Pearce, and I are going to Petals from the Past in Jemison on Tuesday to pick blueberries if y'all want to go with us and then come back and swim. We had a blast when we went last year. Let Kati know...

Great pictures, and great Mommy skills (sword fighting while taking pictures :) Yes, little boys are so fun, and those other things are indeed around the corner. When we asked JD what he wanted to buy with his birthday money, "a light saber" was his request. Enjoy the golf club while he's content; requests for more complex weapons will come soon, too!

Btw, we decided to head to Tuscaloosa a bit early; we'll be their next weekend, as well as the following week (leaving Friday, the 17th). Mom is having a birthday party for JD on Saturday. You guys are more than welcome to join us ~ we'd love it! A great fam jam, indeed! And if not that day, then maybe we can work something else out during the week. If you're thinking about Sat, just let me know & I'll fill you in on party details.

Love you!
