We always buy cheap Walmart vacuum cleaners. I have always thought about getting a Dyson, but I always talk myself out of spending the money and get one for under $100. It always happens that I love it for a while and then all of a sudden I notice that it stops working. They just don't make them like they used to!
I've heard everyone rave about their own Dyson vacuums. I've read countless reviews online about how they have amazing suction power and just don't quit. So when my vacuum started smelling like it was going to burn up and stopped picking up stuff off of the floor, I decided to use some birthday money I've been saving and take the plunge. I found a great deal at Costco and it arrived on my doorstep two days later!
I haven't been so excited to clean in a while. So I decided to do a little test. I had vacuumed my 8x11 rug in the living room Sunday with the old vacuum, but just for good measure I did it one last time Wednesday night. Then I opened the box containing my brand new cleaner and started to vacuum. I noticed that the red in my rug was starting to look a little gray. Worried that there was something wrong, I took a closer look. I got on my hands and knees to inspect and noticed that it was dust that the vacuum was pulling up. I continued to vacuum until the rug looked clean and this is what was found in the canister:
That is disgusting!! And remember we are talking about a freshly vacuumed 8x11 rug that is partly covered by a very large coffee table. The coffee table has a low shelf so I would have to move the table to really get under it well, so that part of the rug wasn't even touched.
I love this vacuum!!
