Our Thirty Year Old Grandmother

As you can see we celebrated Nanie's 30th birthday at the lake this weekend.  We all had kids impossibly early!  Sterling had so much fun with his cousins as usual.  I know he can't wait until Ann Elizabeth can run around and play with him.

The kids also helped Nanie stuffed Easter eggs for next week.

Sterling LOVES fishing.  He really doesn't care if there is bait on his line or not.  He just loves casting and reeling in his fishing pole.

And our little girl turned one month old Saturday.  I can't believe it has already been a month. We went to the doctor this morning and she weighed 8lbs 13oz.  just 2oz. smaller than Sterling when he was born!

Ann Elizabeth is sleeping very well (everyone always wants to know that).  She wakes up for one feeding during the night and she can usually make it to sometime between 4 and 6!  She is a good little eater though and makes up for the missed meals before bed for sure.  She is picking up her head when she lays down on her stomach.  She focuses very well now and has even begun to smile every now and then.  Overall she is a very happy baby.

Sterling is still doing very well with her.  He has become very protective of her.  When someone else is holding her at church or something he lets them know very sweetly that she is HIS baby.

Sterling obviously has been doing some major male bonding with Alex as I am usually with Ann Elizabeth.  He just got a baseball glove just like Daddy's and loves throwing balls with him.

He also loves going out now that the weather is so perfect.  He would spend all day outside if he could.  He loves playing with sidewalk chalk and his tricycle (even though we don't use the petals yet).  He still loves cars and trains and can usually be found playing with one or the other.

He also loves to sing and dance now.  He loves singing and can usually pick up a song after hearing it once.  He has even begun making up his own songs.  He also enjoys dancing whatever songs he may be hearing at the time.

It is so funny watching him watch his favorite cartoons.  He likes to act out whatever the characters are doing.  For example if he is watching Handy Manny he must have his tools with him.  Or Mickey and the gang are playing instruments he runs to get his drum to play along.

Your little ones are so delightful, Bethany! Sterling sounds like Kameron, having to be "ready" for whatever he's watching :) And I can't believe that Ann Elizabeth is already a month old. Happy Birthday to she and Nanie!
