A Week at Lake Santa Fe

We spent Thursday through Saturday (before the fourth) at Lake Martin with Alex's family.  We had such a great time, and Sterling, as usual, loved being around his cousins.  We headed home Saturday night because Alex had to preach Sunday morning.  After church we headed to Florida to see my grandparents.  Sterling did amazing on the 7.5 hour trip and we only had to stop for gas.

We enjoyed a relaxing week doing being lazy, swimming and building sand castles.  Sterling also turned 18 months while we were there.  One and a half is so big!

He LOVES the water.  That is one thing that he isn't timid about.  I think he may be part fish.  He has always loved blowing bubbles in the water.  But this week he learned to kick his feet and paddle his arms to swim back and forth to us.  By the end of the week he was swimming pretty far (of course with his life jacket).  He quickly learned to not suck in when water got in his face, and he even went under water a few times.  Maybe by next year he will be swimming with out that life jacket!

Going under water, our little daredevil.

Having a picnic on the dock.  We used to do this all the time when we were little.

KiKi took some really good pictures of Sterling swimming.  When I get those pictures from her I will post them.

cute swimsuit, is it like my black one?

I think Sterfry's big enough for a sister. I would like a niece. I would also like to see my nephew as well.

She sure will be a beautiful niece! Beautiful pictures. I'm so proud of Sterling's swimming abilities. That's great! Love the family photo. I know Grammy and Daddy Jim loved having so much time with all of you.
