What We've Been Up To

As I said before. We have been a bit busy lately. Here is a picture from right after that daddy/son weekend.  Alex is teaching Sterling to bowl on the Wii.  As he is always wanting to play with the remote controls to everything, he LOVED this.  He would randomly point to the TV and say "bowl" after this.

Sterling is getting much more "outdoorsy."  We discovered a family of hawks has moved into the woods behind us recently.  I took Sterling out to see it the first day they were there, and now he wants to see the "bird" everyday.  He also loves playing with bubbles and pushing around his toy lawn mower.
Last Thursday we headed to Lake Martin to celebrate Father's Day and Pop's birthday.  We headed back home stopping by to see my dad on the way home.  Then on Sunday my family came to see us and celebrate Dad's Day.  Alex had a good Father's Day, but unfortunately it was cut short as he had to get ready to take the youth to camp the next day.  We had a great week with them at the beach (they didn't have camp at the beach when I was in high school).  We had fun despite the somewhat oily ocean.  Here are some pictures from the weekend at the lake.
Funny enough, as timid as Sterling's personality can be, he loves the water.  He loves to blow bubbles and swim around.  He even was able to keep himself upright for a little while in his life jacket all by himself.

Nanie made a pirate lunch for the kids.  She went all out and they loved it.  Sterling was saying "Ahrg" the whole time.
We've had a good time with Sterling the past few days as he spent last week with Nanie and KiKi.  He looked so handsome this morning for church.  As he had to look for the bird and push his mower immediately after church, I took advantage and had a photo shoot.

He's becoming such a "big boy."  That last picture is going to have to go in a frame for sure!

OH MY ~ The PRECIOUSNESS of that boy!!!! Thanks for letting Nanie and I enjoy him last week ~ he is such a JOY!!! I LOVE the picture where he is looking at his "loot" and cutting his eyes at the camera ~ PRECIOUS!!!! And the ones in his "Noah's Ark" outfit ~ well he is just beautiful!!!! And by the way, I have the picture of him on y'alls porch, behind the chair, in his green outfit on my laptop and every time he sees it he says "Bubbles"!!!! Now there are NO bubbles in that particular picture (though the other ones that day do have the bubbles), so I don't know if he knows he did bubbles that day or if he knows that that is where he does bubbles, but I'm just saying ~ He is brilliant!!!!!
